Spirng is Here ~ I've been slacking!

Spring has hit here fully, the pond is full (very full) flowers are budding. We've been spending a LOT more time outside and so I've been a bit behind on updating about us. The girls are just LOVING being outside so much. Yesterday we went outside at 9am, came in for lunch and then went into town to the Museum. They have an exhibt on China that Chad wanted to see and a kids exhibt called grossology for the kids, plus all their regular stuff. Keira was getting pretty sleepy by the time we got there so we figured we'd pop her in the carrier and she'd sleep while we did the museum. WRONG!!! She was so enthralled with everything she didnt sleep til we left. She fell asleep as we walked across the parking lot and stayed asleep all the way home and then for a while longer.
The China exhibt was cool, they had a few of the Terra Cotta warrior statues plus lots of pottery, small statues and other stuff. Katlin liked looking at the jade stuff and some of the dishes but not much else. Chad tried to explain to her that the terra cotta warrior statues were made by the emporer of his troops to be buried with him. But it just didnt seem impressive to her.
We could have saved our money on the grossology exhibt. It was just a bit over her, she didnt get into it at all. Chad and I found it cool and interesting, its all about the body and the smells, fluids and ick that make it work. They had a lot of hands on stuff that showed how/why your burp, fart, what makes you have body odor, bad breathe etc. They had microscopes to look through and see stuff that gets stuck in your snot, why your body makes snot etc. The only thing she liked was a game they had that was kinda like a potato gun that shot snot (ping pong balls) into a giant nose. All the kids between the ages of about 7-12/13ish really were getting into it.
Then we toured the rest of the museum and saw the info they have there and it was pretty neat. All in All a very fun day
Once we got home Katlin went back outside to play while Keira finished her nap. We had to drag her in for dinner and bed. She kept saying she wasnt tired but once in bed she was out within about 20 mins!
Well they are beggin to go back outside so off we go again!!!!
